Meet Coretta Harris, President of the Georgia Association of School Business Officials (GASBO)! 

Dedication. Excellence. Service. These are just a few words that describe Coretta C. Harris, a true leader in school finance! 

For the past 13 years, Coretta has served as the Director of Business & Finance for Putnam County Schools, where her leadership has helped the finance department earn the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for 11 consecutive years! This achievement reflects the department's commitment to transparency, accountability, and good stewardship of district funds.

Beyond her work in Putnam County, Coretta is passionate about giving back. She served on the GAINS Board, was president of GAINS in 2024, and is in her 5th year on the GASBO Board, now holding the role of President. Her dedication to these organizations ensures that school business officials across Georgia have the tools they need to succeed.

Outside of her work, Coretta is a devoted wife, mother, and business owner. She loves spending time with her family and church life group, embodying her belief that true leadership is about serving others.
